Community
The guild is a place to connect with other garment sewists in the Waterloo region and is a welcome place for all people. We have a friendly and supportive environment and the current membership boasts people of all levels from beginners to working professionals.
Our online Discord community is available for anyone to join and is a great place to get to know other garment sewists in your area.
Monthly Meetings
The guild meets the fourth Thursday of the month in Belmont Village to socialize, share, and learn together. Monthly meetings may feature speakers from the local community and beyond and cover a wide variety of topics related to garment sewing.
During some months the executive team or other guild members organize sewing challenges, sew-alongs, group meet ups and outings, and virtual online hangouts.
Our in person meetings take place at Northstar Travel and run from 6:30pm - 8:30pm. Dates and more info about meetings are always announced on our Discord server, Instagram and by email.
2025-2026 Memberships
Paid memberships help run the guild and money collected goes directly to pay for compensation for professional guest speakers, supporting our online resources, running outings and events, etc.
