September 2026: AGM & Guild Tech Walkthrough

We’ll share our plans for the upcoming season (more guest speakers!), including Frocktoberfest! We’ll also walk you through our guild features, including getting connected to the Discord server, the pattern library, and how to prepare patterns for printing at Spool & Spindle.

Bring materials and hand sew a nametag or other craft during the meeting.

KWGSG X TWB Presents: Frocktoberfest

Friday, October 2, at TWB Brewery in Kitchener (Mill Street)

A meetup of garment sewists and supporters to show off our makes and have a fun evening together! Think Frocktails, but a distinctly KW flair. Come in your dirndl, lederhosen, your favourite make or just come as you are.

October 2026: Sewing Machine Maitenance

Your sewing machines work hard for you. This month, learn to give them some tender loving care (TLC) with a special hands-on lesson from KW Sewing Machines.

Participants are invited to bring their sewing machines to follow along. The machine should be off and unplugged when cleaning, so power cords are optional.

Sew & Tell: Costumes & Cozy - Bring a costume you’ve made or something cozy for the dropping temperatures!

• shirting the pattern for increased or decreased ease using a flat pattern method

• easing the sleeve head
